About B Standard tuning
B standard tunes a 6-string down a fourth — the same pitches as the low six strings of a 7-string guitar, and the natural home of baritone guitars. It's a foundation of industrial and death metal: low enough to crush, high enough to keep riffs defined.
On a regular 25.5" scale guitar you'll want very heavy strings; a baritone's longer scale reaches these notes with normal tension. Either way, tune each string until the needle centers on its target.

After changing string tension this much, make a second tuning pass — the neck settles slightly and the first strings you tuned will have drifted.
